History of Faith Covenant Church
Faith Covenant was planted in Colorado Springs in the mid-70s with the dream and hope that it would touch many lives with the love of God. Not only has Faith done exactly that for all these years, it has also had a rich heritage of ministry in the area since its birth. Faith has always been described as a small church that didn’t know it was a small church! From starting new ministries that reached out to youth and children to planting another church in the 1990's, Faith has done well striving to weave the grace of Jesus into all that it has done.
In the recent past, Faith went through some challenges that caused the leadership and congregation to move into a time of discerning what the future might look like for them. In the course of listening to God, it was discerned that Faith needed to be rebirthed in order to meet the needs of a quickly changing culture. And so that is where we are—in the exciting, life-changing time where all who make up this church are striving to identify and experience a new way of “being church.” While we still have a long way to go, we are eager to follow in the way of Jesus as he leads Faith into a new phase of the journey, gathering others along the way.
