New to Faith?

Being a first time visitor anywhere can be quite scary. You don’t know what to expect or how people will receive you. You worry that you may be overdressed or underdressed. You’re not sure how you are supposed to act. You wonder if everyone will overwhelm you or if no one will talk to you at all. We know how challenging it can be to walk into a new place!

While we know you will have other questions for us, perhaps we can help ease some of your discomfort by answering a few now:

What should I wear?

At Faith Covenant, you will find some people dressed up a bit and others who wear shorts and flip-flops or jeans and tee shirts. We don’t make a big deal about clothes. We recognize that how a person dresses matters little to God as he looks at the person’s heart. So come dressed in whatever makes you feel comfortable.

What are your services like?

At our services (we call them gatherings) you will find a variety of styles of music, prayer and other experiences. Sometimes there will be invitations for people to participate directly in worship or in response to something in worship. Other times there may be opportunities for further discussion. We try to be creative and make certain that with each worship gathering we tell a complete story from beginning to end. Our music strives to be reflective of our community, so you will hear music from many different segments of the Christian faith.

Will I have to say anything, sign anything or be singled out?

Not if you don’t want to be! We strive to have people greet you warmly, but we don’t want to overwhelm you either. We welcome people from all walks of life to come and participate fully in our worship or to simply come and sit quietly and listen. We respect where you are and who you are and want to be a support to you as you come.

What about my kids?

We are a church that is committed to loving and serving all generations. We do provide a nursery, but we welcome children to fully participate in worship.

What is Faith Live!?

Faith Live! is formerly known as “Sunday school.” Interactive and friendship forming, we strive to make Faith Live! a place where people can grow together around the scripture.
